Calm After the Storm

On January 4, 2008, a ferocious storm pounded northern California with hurricane-force winds and up to 8 inches of rain in some locations. The area around Half Moon Bay was hit particularly hard, with tens of thousands of Coastsiders losing power for most of the day (you can read more about the storm here).
